LakePharma collaborated with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute scientists on an article recently published in Nature: "A PGC1-α-dependent myokine that drives brown-fat-like development of white fat and thermogenesis." This study targeted newly isolated 'beige fat' cells that could help fight obesity. This interesting new discovery has the potential for groundbreaking future applications. LakePharma designed and provided the Fc fusion proteins for this key study, published in Nature in the January 2012 issue.
